Mac Installation Guide ​

System Requirements ​

  • macOS 12 (Monterey) or later
  • Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4) or Intel processor
  • At least 4 GB RAM (8 GB recommended)
  • 500 MB available disk space
  • Internet connection

Download ​

  1. Visit the official Tencent WorkBuddy download page
  2. Select the macOS version (Universal binary supports both Apple Silicon and Intel)
  3. Download the .dmg file

Installation Steps ​

  1. Open the downloaded .dmg file
  2. Drag the Tencent WorkBuddy icon to the Applications folder
  3. Eject the disk image
  4. Open Tencent WorkBuddy from your Applications folder or Launchpad

First Launch — Security Permission ​

On first launch, macOS may display a security warning:

  1. If you see "Tencent WorkBuddy cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer":
  2. Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security
  3. Scroll down and click "Open Anyway"
  4. Confirm by clicking "Open"

Sign In ​

  1. After launching, click "Sign In"
  2. Authenticate via Google or GitHub OAuth
  3. Once signed in, you're ready to use Tencent WorkBuddy

System Permissions ​

Tencent WorkBuddy may request the following system permissions:

  • Accessibility: For remote control features (Claw)
  • Files and Folders: For local file operations
  • Notifications: For task completion alerts

Grant these permissions in System Settings → Privacy & Security for the best experience.
