Conversation

1. How to Interact

After creating a task, you interact with Tencent WorkBuddy in the central conversation area. The workflow centers around "input requirements, add context, view execution progress, and follow up".

Common actions:

  • Type requirements or additional details in the input box
  • Click Send or press Enter
  • Follow up on existing tasks — Tencent WorkBuddy continues with previous context
  • View replies, results, and intermediate steps during execution

2. Top Toolbar

The conversation area top bar shows the current task title and provides:

  1. Collapse Sidebar: Hide the left sidebar for a cleaner interface
  2. New Task: Quick shortcut to create a new task
  3. History: View conversation history within the task, click to jump
  4. Show Details Panel: Open the right panel for artifacts, files, changes, and built-in browser

3. Sending Messages & Following Up

You can send new messages anytime from the input box at the bottom.

Suitable content to send:

  • New Requirements: e.g., "Add a pie chart", "Make the font larger"
  • Modifications: e.g., "Sort the table by revenue", "Add an executive summary"
  • Follow-ups: e.g., "Export as PDF", "Analyze the month-over-month changes"

💡 Tip: Tencent WorkBuddy maintains conversation context — no need to repeat background information.

4. File & Image Upload

Beyond text input, you can add files or images as context:

  • Paste Screenshots: Use Ctrl/Cmd + V to paste clipboard images
  • Upload Files: Click the upload button or drag files into the input area
  • Combine Sources: Mix files, images, and text for better understanding

5. Execution Progress Display

During task execution, Tencent WorkBuddy shows key steps and results in the conversation area:

  • Tencent WorkBuddy's response content
  • Stage descriptions (e.g., "Analyzing data...", "Generating report...")
  • Result summaries
  • Expandable intermediate steps

💡 Benefit: View input, process, and output all in one place without leaving the task.

6. Interrupt & Resume

If a task is running, a Stop button appears in the input area. You can interrupt execution at any time.

After interrupting, you can still:

  • Add new instructions
  • Adjust requirements and resend
  • Continue building on existing progress

Core Philosophy: Maintain continuous dialogue rather than starting over each time.
