WeChat ClawBot Integration Guide ​

This guide will help you connect Tencent WorkBuddy to WeChat using the WeChat ClawBot integration. Once linked, you can send tasks to Tencent WorkBuddy directly from WeChat and receive the results — no developer credentials required.

Prerequisites ​

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  • Tencent WorkBuddy >= 4.6.4 installed and logged in on your computer
  • WeChat >= 8.0.70 logged in on your phone

Tip: WeChat ClawBot requires no App ID or App Secret. You just scan a QR code to link your account.

Step 1: Open WeChat ClawBot Integration ​

Go to Claw Settings ​

  1. Open Tencent WorkBuddy.
  2. Click the gear icon in the left Claw panel to open "Claw Settings".
  3. In the integrations list, find "WeChat ClawBot Integration".
  4. Click the "Configure" button on the right.

Wait for the QR code ​

After clicking "Configure", the button will briefly show "Linking..." while Tencent WorkBuddy generates the QR code.

Step 2: Scan the QR Code ​

Scan with WeChat ​

The QR code will appear directly below the card. Open WeChat on your phone and scan the QR code to complete the link.

Note: The QR code has a time limit. If it expires or the scan fails, click "Configure" again to generate a new one.

After scanning, the card status will change to "Linked". If you ever need to switch accounts, click "Unlink" and scan again.

Step 3: Start Using ​

Once linked, you can send tasks directly to Tencent WorkBuddy through WeChat, for example:

  • "Summarize the latest meeting notes on my desktop"
  • "Check whether the recently changed API endpoints in this project have any obvious issues"
  • "Generate a login page prototype"

Tencent WorkBuddy will execute the task on your computer and send the progress and final results back to the WeChat chat window.

Note: When a WeChat message arrives, Tencent WorkBuddy will automatically switch to the Claw tab and load the corresponding session — no manual switching needed.

Congratulations! If you can receive Tencent WorkBuddy's execution results in WeChat, the WeChat ClawBot integration is complete.

Troubleshooting ​

Stuck on "Linking..." ​

  1. Confirm that Tencent WorkBuddy is running and has an active internet connection.
  2. Close the configuration window and re-enter "WeChat ClawBot Integration".
  3. If the issue persists, restart Tencent WorkBuddy and try linking again.

"Linked" status not shown after scanning ​

  1. Confirm you scanned with the WeChat account you want to link.
  2. Wait a few seconds for the binding status to sync.
  3. If the QR code has expired, click "Retry" to generate a new one and scan again.

No response to messages in WeChat ​

  1. Confirm Tencent WorkBuddy is still running and the Claw service has not been disabled.
  2. Go back to "Claw Settings" and check that the WeChat ClawBot status still shows "Linked".
  3. If needed, unlink and scan the QR code again to re-bind.

What is the difference between WeChat ClawBot and WeChat Service Account? ​

Both allow you to chat with Tencent WorkBuddy through WeChat and have the same functionality. WeChat ClawBot is an alternative channel — the linking process is the same (scan a QR code). You can use either one depending on your preference.
