π CodeBuddy Code v2.161.2 Release β
π¦ Version Information β
| Component | Version |
|---|---|
| CodeBuddy Code CLI | v2.161.2 |
| Agent SDK JS | v0.3.271 |
| Agent SDK Python | v0.3.270 |
π§ Improvements β
- Faster Agent View list and sidebar loading: Collecting the Agent View list no longer probes nonexistent sidecar files for each row. The sidebar removes duplicate initial loads and redundant fallback polling, and skips irrelevant renders and collapsed hidden rows. If the initial load fails while the page is visible, it is still retried automatically.
- Smoother
/btwside questions and subagent interaction:/btwis now a standalone side question panel; only pressingfupgrades the selected question to a main-tree Agent with tools that reports back results. Selected subagents now support sending follow-up text, queued messages, and images. Completed / failed / stopped Agents remain visible, with a 30-second grace period when leaving and support for explicit clearing.
π Bug Fixes β
- More reliable Agent View workspace restore: Missing workspaces are restored only when the directory or Git worktree can be safely recovered; otherwise an actionable error is shown at startup. Entering from the sidebar explicitly wakes Agents that have exited, while deep links and historical session selection stay read-only. After stopping and restarting, all open pages (including live event streams) rebind to the new Worker, and the session identity remains unchanged.
- Agent View state no longer overwritten by stale activity: Job and process state updates are serialized per turn, preventing completed, failed, or manually stopped Agents from being overwritten by stale activity. Idle state and reply summaries stay in sync, without flashing intermediate states or reloading the session.
- Timely reclamation of background Workers: Completed and idle background Workers can be reclaimed even while the browser keeps a passive subscription, while protection for in-progress questions and other requests is preserved.
- Per-turn follow-up results synced to all sidebars: Fixed per-turn follow-up results not being published to all open sidebars. Read-only followers can backfill history after the session stream reconnects.
- General-purpose subagent input no longer lost: Fixed input being dropped and the model receiving empty messages when running a general-purpose subagent in parent Agent mode.
- Parallel subagent tool streams no longer cross over: Fixed tool call content from parallel subagents leaking into the main conversation stream, and web content analysis occasionally receiving empty input.
- Tool argument validation hints include type information: When deferred tool argument validation fails, the actual and expected types are shown, without echoing the original argument values.
- Custom model configuration hint links directly: Fixed the "Go to configuration" link in the error message not navigating directly to the model's configuration page after a client restart when a custom model was missing its endpoint URL or API Key.
- Task titles preserved after restoring long sessions: Fixed named task titles (including manually renamed ones) being regenerated and overwritten after restoring long sessions. New sessions forked from the middle of a session still generate their own titles.
- No stale question cards left after the runtime restarts: When a stream-json session replays history, interrupted
AskUserQuestioncalls are marked as canceled, so no stale actionable cards are left behind. - Request tracing no longer breaks after long tool execution: Fixed trace headers being overwritten during long tool execution in stream-json, which detached the model requests and response streams after the tool from the current Trace. The current turn's tracing context is preserved for tool and subagent requests.
