π CodeBuddy Code v2.174.0 Release β
π¦ Version Information β
| Component | Version |
|---|---|
| CodeBuddy Code CLI | v2.174.0 |
| Agent SDK JS | v0.3.289 |
| Agent SDK Python | v0.3.288 |
β¨ New Features β
Set System Prompts for Agents β
Right-click an agent in the Web UI sidebar to open "System Prompt", then choose to append to the built-in prompt or replace it. Changes take effect on the next conversation turn after saving, with no restart needed, and you can restore the default with one click.
Background sessions copied via /fork-bg inherit the original session's system prompt settings.
WeCom Bots Receive Channel Content β
After enabling "Receive channel content" for an individual WeCom bot in the Remote Control panel, every new post and reply in the channels the bot belongs to is handed to the Agent, which can reply with a comment under the corresponding post.
- Off by default, enabled per bot
- Only newly created content is processed; the bot's own messages do not trigger it again
- Channel content is never executed as slash commands, nor does it answer permission confirmations on anyone's behalf
- A clear message is shown when the enterprise has not been enrolled in the channel gradual rollout
Ctrl+L Clears the Screen While Keeping the Session β
Pressing Ctrl+L in the terminal now only clears the screen and scrollback, showing only new content afterwards, while the conversation context remains unchanged; use /clear to start a new session. The Web UI also supports Ctrl+L to clear the screen.
π§ Improvements β
- Faster and more reliable agent switching and resuming: Resuming an exited agent no longer waits a long time for network sync or bumps the agent to the top of the list. When switching, the conversation, file change cards, and input box configuration are in their final state from the first frame and stay at the bottom; history is prefetched on hover for faster opening
- One-click rebinding of Relay Web bindings after port changes: If the port changes after a restart, the binding is marked "Port changed" and can be rebound with one click, preserving the sub-path, access key, and other settings
- Skill list grouped by source: Built-in copies and marketplace plugins are consolidated into a single row, no longer exposing versions and internal directory levels
- New
CODEBUDDY_BASH_FORCE_PARALLELenvironment variable: When set to1, Bash and PowerShell calls within the same turn are always executed in parallel - Wider sidebar context menu, so long menu items no longer wrap
π Bug Fixes β
- Long sessions can keep loading earlier conversation history: History is paginated by cursor, and scrolling to the top automatically fetches the previous page. After paging, the view no longer occasionally "jumps to the bottom on its own", and stuttering and freezing when scrolling up in long sessions have been fixed
- Occasional task list loading failures: Fixed the Web UI task list returning 500 errors and the left-side agent and task lists failing to load entirely
- Remote host fixes:
- The Web UI terminal no longer gets stuck "Reconnecting" and is no longer cut off by the proxy every two minutes
- The remote Node.js runtime is resolved based on the actual environment and is no longer misreported as "version too low"; also fixed the issue where the preparation phase passed but the connection phase failed because the system Node was too old
- Remote installation is pinned to exactly the same version as the WebUI, and automatic upgrades on the remote side are disabled to avoid version drift
- Scheduled tasks no longer stay "running" forever: Tasks with no progress for a long time are automatically marked as failed; background tasks and team member processes no longer host project scheduled tasks; template tags mixed into tool names are automatically cleaned
- Creating Relay Web bindings from multiple processes on the same device is no longer rejected, and relay gateway error messages follow the UI language
- ACP tool call argument display fixed: Arguments are no longer treated as tool output, and sensitive-data protection markers are consistent across streaming and history replay
- More stable service mode: Linux service mode no longer hangs in large directories due to file watcher limits; memory diagnostic reports are saved separately by time; logs no longer record credentials in repository URLs
- Nested
codebuddy -pruns in the resident service no longer hang, and no longer interrupt the current task or take over already-connected channels - Faster subagents: The full main prompt is no longer carried repeatedly, reducing input by about 6k tokens per subagent request
- Usage statistics fixes: Fixed input always being 0 for some models and uncached input being miscounted as cache write;
/contextand/statsare corrected accordingly - Others: Unified MCP tool call names in Code Mode, background channel task receipts no longer delivered to the wrong session, unbound Ctrl+letter combinations no longer insert characters, and fixed proxy conflicts between multiple processes on the same device
