✨ New Features

Switch the working directory directly from the Web UI

The Web UI of the local daemon can now switch its working directory from the directory chip menu in the main conversation by choosing "Switch working directory…". The daemon restarts in the new directory, background tasks stay unaffected, and the page reloads in the new directory, so you no longer need to go back to the CodeBuddy Desktop menu.

A new POST /api/v1/daemon/workspace endpoint is also available for scripts and integrations that need to switch the daemon working directory.

🔧 Improvements

• Simpler AICC confidential model detection: The client now looks only at the model itself — built-in models tagged enterprise:aicc in the model catalog always use the AICC confidential flow, without product switches, model lists, or account-type restrictions. Which AICC models you can see is still controlled by the server-side enterprise allowlist
• Faster failures during session initialization: When initialization times out or is cancelled, the failure returns promptly instead of waiting on cleanup, and other sessions keep working
• Faster session startup: Reduces repeated file reads for skill directories, capability lists, and pre-execution preparation, and records per-stage timings so slow startups are easier to diagnose

🐛 Bug Fixes

• Directory picker kept failing when switching workspaces on a cloud host: Fixed the repeated HOST_PREPARATION_DIRECTORY_FAILED error and the unresponsive "Open directory" action. Switching now shows progress and blocks duplicate submissions, reuses the lease of an already opened directory, and surfaces failure reasons in the dialog
