π¦ Version Information β

| Agent SDK Python | v0.3.285 |
β¨ New Features β
Remote Host Management β
The sidebar adds a compact entry for switching and managing remote hosts, so you can quickly switch between multiple hosts or open a specific host in a new window while the original window's workspace and sessions stay unchanged. When adding a host, you can directly reuse an existing SSH configuration, or preview the SSH command before confirming and applying it, reducing repetitive input.
File and Git Browsing in Remote Directories β
In authorized remote directories, you can now browse files directly and view Git status, diffs, logs, and branches. When the page is closed or the connection is interrupted, the corresponding remote requests are terminated as well, so they no longer keep occupying the connection in the background.
Automatic Retry for Model Requests β
When a model request fails before generation starts, it is automatically retried according to the retry policy issued by the server: transient rate limiting, server errors, and some recoverable errors are retried up to 8 times, with the wait time doubling on each attempt; if the server requires a longer wait, its specified time is used. While retrying, the session shows that a retry is in progress, and clicking Stop immediately ends the wait without sending further requests.
π§ Improvements β
Automatic Resumption After Background Session Crashes β
When a --bg background session process exits unexpectedly (for example, when it is forcibly reclaimed by the system), it is automatically restored from the original session and continues running; if a task was still in progress at the time of the crash, a resume prompt is also sent automatically to pick up where it left off. By default, it restarts automatically at most 3 times within 600 seconds, and the resume prompt and status text are shown in Chinese or English according to the system language.
Cleaner REPL Call Results β
REPL call lines no longer expand the full code (the full code can still be viewed with Ctrl+O), and the result area shows internal tool calls one per line by default. If you need a more concise view, you can set an environment variable to keep only the elapsed time and final output.
Unified Memory Tool Naming β
The recall and update tools for cloud long-term memory are now uniformly named MemoryRecall and MemoryUpdate, and their usage rules have been streamlined accordingly; when the platform is unavailable, they no longer fall back to writing local files.
π Bug Fixes β
- Fixed an issue where, with a gateway password enabled, remote connections could bypass the password when the port was exposed or forwarded through a tunnel; the password also no longer appears in access logs.
- Fixed an issue where running a user-installed
codebuddywithin a conversation mistakenly cleaned up the host's session history, causing earlier conversations to show "No conversation history". - Fixed an issue where background task results kept waking up the conversation repeatedly after being read; unread completion notifications are now merged.
- Fixed an issue where an invalid resume was triggered when the model returned only thinking content, and was then rejected by the model gateway.
- Fixed an issue where automatic plugin refresh could interrupt a message being submitted without showing an error.
- Fixed an issue where checkpoints lost the new version when a file had the same length before and after editing, causing a rollback to mistakenly undo earlier changes, as well as an issue where the file rollback prompt was unavailable after restoring an old session.
- Fixed an issue where built-in tools could be mistakenly blocked by the security review when displaying local files and performing some read-only operations.
- Fixed an issue on Windows where background sessions occasionally failed to complete startup registration and replies were mistakenly saved as pending messages.
- Fixed an issue where
codebuddy updatestayed stuck on an old version when multiple Node installations were present on the machine. - Fixed an issue in PTC mode where team membership was mistakenly switched after the coordinator dispatched a sub-agent, causing abnormal terminal task trees and reports.
- Fixed issues where remote connections were automatically reconnected after being disconnected, instance deletion failed, and valid processes were misjudged as replaced; the statistics, tracing, and monitoring pages now read from the selected host and clear old data when switching hosts.
- Fixed an issue where initial remote screen requests and status queries were mistakenly sent to the local machine, as well as an issue where the menu closed silently when stopping a remote daemon or disconnecting failed.
- Fixed an issue where downloads continued and occupied the connection after a file preview was closed.
- Fixed an issue where, after revoking trust for a module, the authorization confirmation could not be shown again, making it impossible to re-enable the module.
- Fixed an issue where, after an agent task was switched to run in the background, channel members could not speak, read or write the task board, or send direct messages after restarting or resuming the session.
- Fixed an issue where older agents lost their model and permission settings when reading directories.
- Unified the symbols and ordering of shortcut hints on macOS; Windows and Linux keep their original key combination notation.
- Improved the Web UI experience in mobile browsers: bottom controls avoid the floating address bar, the page no longer zooms in automatically while typing, and menus no longer extend beyond the visible area on narrow screens or when the keyboard is shown.
- Fixed an issue in CodeBuddy Desktop where the onboarding guide popped up repeatedly after the daemon restarted.
